Conrad Anker is a modern global exemplar for pondering and then pursuing the highest reaches of terra firma.  He's summited Everest (thrice), found the long-lost remains of George Mallory, assembled a diverse climbing resume that places him in the pantheon of alpinism, is an author, environmentalist, teacher, and ambassador for North Face. Wherever he goes, auditoriums fill to capacity. In outdoor towns like this one, he is a legend.

Although an admitted adrenalin seeker, Anker also is a bookish introverted guy who savors his (mostly) quiet existence, living just down the street in Bozeman with artist wife Jenni Lowe Anker and their three enterprising sons. We'll hear more from Anker in the future at but for now enjoy this short video, produced by Black Diamond, in which he discusses the rewards that come from risk.
